Hey, Kiwi...
I know you are our unofficial episode thread starter. But since there's been discussions scattered throughout the forum already concerning the crossover, are you down with me starting this one?

It wasn't really a rumor, but speculation. If Kara being captured for the large part of the crossover ends up being true to make way for Overgirl, then they have not resolved this problem from last year's crossover.
Supergirl and Overgirl may be identical to each other, but they're separate entities. That's replacing one character for another.
Someone else came up with a possibility that the heroes captured Overgirl and that Supergirl and several other heroes may take her place to infiltrate and discover Earth-X Thawne's plans.
Screentimes for Supergirl and Overgirl have to be separate.
So in your opinion if Melissa doesn’t spend “enough” time in the blue suit the crossovers are like last year? You’re not going to be happy if Overgirl is the leader of the villains? Are you counting time as Kara? Why do screentime for Supergirl and Overgirl have to be separate? The two characters took the same amount of Melissa’s time. Are you also saying Green/Black Arrow are separate? For me the only separate hero/villain combo will be Flash/Reverse Flash because they’re not played by the same actor.

I’m impartial to the dispute about Kara screentime etc as no matter how it turns out I’m largely satisfied, but why so aggressive? Sounds like you’re interrogating him, what did he say that was so wrong?
I second this notion, I think we can agree to disagree, shake hands and move on. I mean the new extended trailer has me more excited than Justice League and that is saying something!
You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun, Kal. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.

Agreed and I apologize, it was not my intention to interrogate anyone. Thank you for the reminder that the intent of written words can easily be misinterpreted.

Not really a rumor now that the trailer outright shows Kara being taken away and Overgirl capturing Kara.

In case ya missed it, in the background you can see Kara look at the musical ensemble in the background as she steps up to the mic *giddy*

Most ironic thing is how I feel about Kara in Supergirl vs Crossovers.
In Supergirl I'm like, she should get beat up once, she's always winning.
In crossovers it like, why does she always get owned? She should win all the time

Most ironic thing is how I feel about Kara in Supergirl vs Crossovers.I compare it to a favorite singer or a favorite sports team. We know that they're going to have moments when they falter but, in the end, we want them to win all the awards and outshine their counterparts. Supergirl is our superhero. Sure, there are others that are good but, when it gets down to it, we want her to be the one to show off her skills and to get the glory.

It's alright, guys.
Same actor, but separate characters despite being identical. This isn't about the actors, but their characters.
Earth-X Overgirl is a separate entity from Supergirl. I would count time as both Supergirl and Overgirl. If Melissa spends more time as Overgirl, that's screentime for Overgirl and not Supergirl. Yes, this also applies to both Green Arrow and Dark Arrow.
During Smallville, we used to count screentimes for the characters in the forums. When Tom Welling played Clark and Ultraman Clark, we had to count separate screentimes for both characters he played.
It's character screentime, not actor screentime.

I don't know why.. But, I really like the idea that we are team Supergirl and team Kara... We are cheerleaders for Supergirl.
Go Kara!

PS: And, that is my (possibly) silly post for the day.

I wonder why CW keeps using the Marvel-esque "Earth's mightiest heroes" tagline for crossovers

Questions:
Does the cross-over start next Monday during Supergirl's regular time slot? If so, does that mean that the rest of Supergirl's cast will be in the episode during that portion of the cross-over or is next week's episode of Supergirl not part of the cross-over? How does it work exactly?

OK folks, "Believe it or not" there will be a guest star on the upcoming crossover. He plays the pastor at Barry and Iris' wedding...and note the quotes as it's none other than WILLIAM KATT from The Greatest American Hero. The actor himself on his Facebook page confirmed this.
For those who don't know, before the Arrowverse, there was a bit of a campy feel to superheroes especially after Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman. And The Greatest American Hero (1981-1983 on ABC) was no exception. Katt played teacher Ralph Hinkley, who one day gets from aliens a supersuit...but proceeds to lose the instruction manual to it!
While the show lasted only two seasons, its theme song was a hit. "Believe It or Not" was composed by Mike Post who made many other theme songs like The Rockford Files and the lyrics were by Stephen Geyer. It was sung by Joey Scarbury. The song went to number 2 on the pop charts in 1981

Questions:Yes, and Arrow will be moving to the slot after Supergirl and will not air during its regular time.

If so, does that mean that the rest of Supergirl's cast will be in the episode during that portion of the cross-over or is next week's episode of Supergirl not part of the cross-over? How does it work exactly?Likely we won’t see anybody but Kara and Alex. If we do see anyone else it will be very minimal in the first minutes before Kara and Alex leave for Earth-1 and the wedding. We have seen pictures of Earth-X Winn so Jeremy is in somewhere just not as the Winn we know. Stephen Amell has described the crossovers as a miniseries so I’m hoping there will be one continuous story not a crossover episode of each show like last year.
