This is from a site about the Jaws movie franchise as Szwarc directed JAWS 2 in 1978 the sequel to the 1975 film that started the summer blockbuster phenomenon.
Szwarc started in Hollywood directing episodes of popular television series in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Ironside," "Kojak," and "Night Gallery." Other TV projects he directed included "The Rockford Files," "Smallville," "Bones," "Castle," and "Grey's Anatomy."
Jeannot Szwarc was 85.

Sad news.I like Supergirl but, he also directed a favorite of mine, Jaws 2.Not as good as the original of course but a fun sequel.
