Definitely looks like she was just pretending to play but even then she looked pretty good at it. Nice song though, such a lovely voice and that laugh at the end, you gotta love it.

Argo will have to see if Melissa plays the piano for real given he's so close to the stage.

I'm wondering two things: 1.) Since it was a performance for the press, and not wanting to mess up she simply didn't play or 2) since she's just doing a truncated performance run, she didn't actually learn to play the songs. However, if it was reason 1, she would have most likely still looked to play the song correctly, but just used a backtrack instead. I suspect it's reason #2, and there's actually no strings in the piano, or that they have a padding on the strings.

This picture is just...amazing. You can see she poured her heart and soul into the show, and that it was the realization of one of her lifelong dreams.

Melissa brought Chris to the Tony Awards. Instead of thier super suits she wore Dior and he put on a tux.

Well Melissa performed today on Live with Kelly and Ryan. She sang "I Feel the Earth Move." Trying to search for a good copy of it on YouTube.

I am seeing her perform At the Wednesday matinee. I was told by the box office that Mel will perform every show. So there should be no understudies!

Well I caught the video...and about half way through the song, Melissa had a slight mic malfunction, but she kept on keeping on...even getting the audience involved.

I wonder what the odds would be of that happening. All I have to do is turn around and say hello. Should be a great afternoon.

It’s Karma! I am really looking forward to it. A friend of mine in the theater business says this role particularly demands a good singer. And Mel fits the bill.

Melissa did another interview recently, or perhaps today. She spoke to WNBC-TV's New York Live, a lifestyle show which airs at 11:30 AM EST after News 4 NY at 11:00.

EDIT: I should've mentioned that Melissa has been to two Plazas...PIX Plaza, which is the nickname for WPIX's studios at 220 East 42nd Street, and 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the legendary home to NBC, and WNBC-TV channel 4

Just got home from seeing Melissa on Broadway. Front row aisle seats and no more then 6 feet from the stage. Argo was right behind me and we had a nice conversation about our girl. Melissa hit a home run with all the songs that she sang. Plus we all know how great of an actress she is and she displayed her acting skills as well.
She spent a lot of time on our side of the stage and I did get a chance to flash her with the house of EL tee shirt. She smiled. After the show Argo and I and my lady friends went to the stage door with hopes of seeing her and getting her autograph which we did. She is more pretty in person and her smile is amazing. I told her that she is a very talented young lady and her and Chris are the Hepburn and Tracy of TV. Well, she was wowed and had a smile from ear to ear. She is a real sweetheart. Great time!

I have no shame in admitting that I am ABSURDLY jealous of you both. If I could afford a trip to NYC, this Summer, I'd definitely hit up a show.
